Dabbling with triangles

Time to upgrade my quilting skills a bit. This time around decided to dabble with triangles. Made my first few blocks with triangles. Enjoying the process so far however the cutting and stitching needs to be quite accurate to get it the perfect shape.

Sneak peak at my next quilt.

A quick sneak peak at my next quilt. The design is based off Elizabeth Hartman's Kitchen Window design. I put my Dena Design Kumari Garden fabric collection to use for this one. Made a few blocks already. Here are the first two.

First baby rag quilt....

I finally decided to put my earlier flannel buy to good use and created a baby rag quilt. These are the pictures prior to washing to give the quilt a real ragged look. I have already pre-washed the flannel once before the start of the quilt with hot water so this time around the shrinkage will be to a minimum. Anyway I am still a newbie to quilting so I prewash and iron all my fabric. Yeah for enthusiasm!!
